Princess wand with Ribbon tutorial

A Quick tutorial on adding ribbon to my Princess wand design

Supplies needed: Embroidery machine, embroidery thread, applique material, whatever you are appliqueing on , stabilizer & ribbon.

         Sorry about the bad photos it was a gloomy day so even with the shades open there wasn't much sunlight coming in.

The ribbon length and how many ribbons you use is completely up to you. I used 3 different types of ribbon with all different widths and I cut their length to about 8 inches long.

Then stitch your tack down and make sure the tails of the ribbon are out of the way!

VERY IMPORTANT... Make sure your ribbon is out of the way for the satin stitch, you will probably need to hold it back most of the time because of the little loopy satin stitch when it comes around it would be real easy to get part of the ribbon so dont walk away for this step!
